In a study on insect pests of soybeans in New South Wales it was found by Miller (1974) that the green vegetable bug, Nezara viridula, was the most important pest, particularly in the North West region. March and April were the months of peak investigations. Miller investigated the following aspects with regard to N. viridula: a) effect of infestation levels on seed quality; 2) effect of time of infestation and stage of life cycle on seed quality, and; 3) distribution of adults in three soybean fields. |
