O sorgo é uma cultura de grande importância nos cultivos de safrinha na região Centro-Oeste. O trabalho teve como objetivo analisar economicamente a aplicação de fontes e doses de nitrogênio em cobertura sobre a produtividade do sorgo granífero. A pesquisa foi conduzida no período da safrinha em 2011 na Fazenda de Ensino, Pesquisa e Extensão da Faculdade de Engenharia do Campus de Ilha Solteira, Unesp, localizada em Selvíria, MS. No experimento, foi utilizado o híbrido granífero AG 1040. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi em blocos casualizados, no esquema fatorial 2 x 5, totalizando 10 tratamentos, constituídos pela combinação entre duas fontes nitrogenadas (ureia e sulfato de amônio), com cinco doses de nitrogênio (0, 20, 40, 60 e 80 kg ha-1) e quatro repetições por tratamento. A aplicação do nitrogênio foi realizada em cobertura, ao lado das plantas, quando encontravam-se no início do estádio EC2 (iniciação da panícula), com seis folhas totalmente expandidas, correspondente, neste experimento, aos 20 dias após a emergência. As estimativas de custos foram elevadas, principalmente devido às adubações realizadas. As aplicações de doses de nitrogênio não responderam em produtividade, considerando os preços médios obtidos em 2011. |
