A study was carried out to evaluate promising soybean genotypes, originated from the National Soybean Research Center-Embrapa Soja- plant breeding program, concerning three different sowing dates: October 15th, November 15th and December 15th. The soybean genotypes were sowed in the main regions of Parana State during three growing seasons 93/94, 94/95, 95/96. Field experiments were established according a randomized complete block design with split plots and four replications. The plots were defined by sowing time and the split plots by the genotypes, which were divided into medium and early/semi-early maturing groups, summing up to 12 genotypes for each group. The experiments were conducted in ten different field in Parana State, being three in the North Region (Londrina, Maringa, and Bandeirantes), four in the West Region (Fenix, Campo Mourao, Palotina, and Toledo) and Iguacu, Mariopolis, and Ponta Grossa). The following agronomic characteristics were analyzed: yield; weight of 100 seeds; plant height and; height of insertation o the lowest pods. November sowing date was the best of the genotypes during the three growing season in all the studied Regions, while December sowing date was the worst. Significant differences were observed for the remaining evaluated characteristics.EMBRAPA 113, BRS 156, EMBRAPA 48, EMBRAPA 59, and EMBRAPA 58, from the early/semi-early maturing group, and EMBRAPA 134, BR 37 and EMBRAPA 60 from the medium maturing group, had the highest yield average along the three growing seasons.
