Clearfield® technology is an important tool for chemical weed management in rice fields, however, carryover of these herbicides is still a concern for crops in succession. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the impact of the herbicide Kifix® (imazapic + imazapyr) associated with Clearfield® technology of rice crops on ryegrass in succession, as well as on non-Clearfield® rice and soybean grown in rotation, in addition to the control potential of jointvetch (Aeschynomene rudis and A. denticulata) from 2016 to 2018. The experiments comprised the application of Kifix® to Clearfield® rice grown in the first experimental year, evaluating its impact (1st summer) on ryegrass grown the following winter, as well as on soybean, rice and non-Clearfield® rice grown the following summer (2nd summer). The results reported reductions in jointvetch density and infestation as Kifix® doses increased; as well as mild damage from Kifix® residues on ryegrass sown in succession to Clearfield® rice, as well as on non-Clearfield® rice and soybean in rotation to Clearfield® rice. In addition, the possibility of residue accumulation of Kifix® in the soil after repeated applications should be verified in further studies. |

RESUMO -Por um período de quatro anos (1980-1983), estudaram-se 1.030 ciclos estrais em vacas de cinco rebanhos leiteiros da bacia leiteira de Juiz de Fora, MC. A ovulação foi diagnosticada pela presença de corpo liíteo através de palpação retal. Verificaram-se 63,6% (n = 655) de o'tlaçôes no ovário direito e 36,4% (n 375) no esquerdo. O diagnóstico de prenhez em 2.181 fêmeas bovinas revelou 70,1% (n 1.529), localizadas no corno direito e 29,9% (n =652) no corno esquerdo. Os resultados mostram maior atividade do ovário direito e maior taxa de prenhez no corno uterino do mesmo lado, em vacas mestiças Holandês x Zebu. ABSTRACT - A study 1,030 oestrus cycles in crossbred dairy cows from tive herds in the rnilk producing rogion of Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, State, Brazil, was undertaken in the four year period from 1980 to 1983. Ovulations were detected by the presence of a corpus luteum in the ovaries via rectal palpation. Of the ovulations $0 detected, 63.6% were Iocated in the right-hand and 36.4% in the lett-hand avary. Pregnancy diagnosis in 2,181 cows showed a similar pattern, with 70.1% on the right-hand side and only 29.9% on the Ieft. Tho results indicated a predominance of ovary activity and uterino pregnancy on trio right-hand sido of tho reproductive tract. Index |
