The current moment is characterized by great social, political and technological ongoing changes in the world, leading to deep alterations in ancient paradigms, requiring everyone's efforts aiming at the conception of new references that may set bounds for the understanding of their impact over the future. It is added to this the increasing lack of resources for investment in research and development of new processes and products. Because of this it has been increasing the awareness about the necessity of planning researches from the needs of their beneficiaries which contribute to amplify the agri-business competitiveness. In a globalized market the information science and technology are important tools in the systematization and treatment of large quantities of available information of interest for the agri-business, conceiving what has been agreed upon to be called "information economy". The general target for this study is the definition of a specific methodology for the prospection, characterization and establishment of priority of the current and potential demands of information technology by the several segments of productive chains. It was applied the techniques of Delphi scenario elaboration and extrapolative methods for performing the research. |
