The AC conductivity of doped poly(o-methoxyaniline) (POMA) films, at temperatures between 4.2 and 298K, has been measured. Both the DC conductivity and the critical frequency increases with the temperature, however the exponential factor is a temperature-independent quantity. It was also observed that above 10E5 Hz the real part of the conductivity tends to a plateau. A nomadic polarization model of quasi-one-dimensional solids was used to fit the experimental results. Values for the bulk mobility, the carrier density and the transition rate of the intermolecular charge transfer were estimated. |
