In many coffee producing countries, water availability constitutes the major environmental constraint affecting rop production. In the Coffea canephora var. Conilon, several clones tolerant and susceptible to drought were selected and studied at the physiological level. Even if the clonal tolerance to drought in robusta coffee still remain largely unknown, it was shown that rooting depth was greater in drought-tolerant than in droughtsensitive clones. |
