The Brazilian citriculture is structured on four cultivars ('Pera', 'Valencia', 'Natal' and 'Hamlin'). In this research, carried out in Bebedouro, SP, Brazil, six sweet oranges cultivars were evaluated. The selected cultivars were: 'Sanguínea', 'Olivelands', 'Vaccaro Blood', 'Folha Murcha', 'São Miguel' and 'Finike'. They were evaluated in four experiments; each budded on a rootstock ('Rangpur lime', 'Cleopatra' and 'Sunki' mandarins and 'Swingle' citrumelo). The experimental design used was randomized blocks with six cultivars as treatments, six replications and four plants ter plot. Seven years after planting, and over two seasons, Finike and Olivelands highlighted with the largest fruits yield in all rootstocks. They showed the largest yield per canopy volume unit (Kg/m³) too. 'Finike' and 'Sao Miguel' fruits are the largest. However, they have the same soluble solids (SS) and titratable acidity (TA) values in the harves time, when the ratio (SS/TA) >/= 12. The rootstocks influenced tree height, diameter and canopy volume, 'Cleopatra' mandarin induced the more vigorous trees. 'Folha Murcha' was the smaller cultivar. 'Finike' and 'Olivelands' are promising cultivars. |
