T. evansi has the widest distribution of all species of trypanosomose and the greatest range of mammalian hosts. This parasite has been reproted in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, South and Central America and parts of Europe. In the Pantanal and central region of Brazil this parasite has been reported in capybaras (Hydrochaeris hydrochaeris), coatis (Nasua nasua), horses, dogs and small wild rodents (Oryzomys sp.). The loss of morphological transformation in T. evansi is thought to correspond to the lack of the maxicircle kDNA, which has been recorded for all strains examined. This study recorded some biometrical data from tree primary isolates of T. evansi obtained from horse, coati and dog, the measurabel data were carried out of 100, 100, and 50 observations from thin smears of each isolate respectively. The data were analysed statistically using a T-test. The horse, dog and coati PN/NA measurements were not significant (P>0.05). PN, NA biometrical measurements of horse, dog and coati isolate were highly significant (P<0.0001). The analysis of F and T measurements showed highly significant differences between horse and coati isolates (P<0.0001). F measurements of horse and dog isolates and T measurements of coati and dog isolates were not significant (P>0.05). The horse isolate presented slender and stumpy forms, with prodominance of slender forms. In dog isolate was observed only slender forms. In the coati isolate were not observed stumphy forms.
