Os trabalhos relacionados à composição florística e sua respectiva dinâmica na floresta atualmente despertam o interesse de várias áreas da pesquisa por sugerirem novas espécies visando a melhor sustentabilidade do sistema. O estudo em questão objetivou agrupar as espécies arbóreas amazônicas em conformidade com o grupo ecológico a fim de avaliá-las conforme o incremento corrente anual. Nas parcelas permanentes da área experimental da Embrapa Amazônia Oriental localizada na Floresta Nacional do Tapajós área km-114 foram selecionadas e analisadas 20 espécies de maior densidade e dominância no período de 1981 a 2008. Observou-se que os grupamentos propostos apresentaram taxas de crescimento similares. A elevada participação de espécies e indivíduos dos grupos ecológicos das Secundárias Tardias e Clímax pode ser um indicativo que esses grupos são favorecidos e da mesma maneira caracterizar as tipologias florestais exploradas. Com este trabalho sugerimos que o agrupamento de espécies por grupo ecológico pode ser uma alternativa para melhor a utilização das espécies florestais na conservação e manejo sustentável da floresta. |
