In 8 healthy boars, 4 boars of german landrace and 4 boars of pirtrainrace, the effect of beta-adrenoceptor blocking agent carazolol on heart and circulatory system before, during and after ejaculation at the phantom was examined. The effort resulted without treatment and after an acute or longter administration of carazolol (Suacron R) was characterized by changes of heart rate, P-, PQ- and QRS-duration as well as blood pressure. - All parameters examinated in this study were significantly influenced during the ejaculation by both forms of treatment with carazolol compared to test-control. The greatest fifferences of values observed during ejaculation existed between the individual boars independent of whether they were treated or not. - The interaction boar/medication showed a different reaction of the individual boars to deug during ejaculation. - The correlation between the absolute values of test-control and the changes of values responded on treatment showed for the parameters relative diastolic-time and systolic blood pressure, that the influence of drug on the individual boars was greater if the values of these parameters were more changed during ejaculation without previous treatmen. |
