Evaluation and micronutrient availability to the upland rice cropped on a calcareous soil of Irecê region, Bahia. |
Conteúdo: |
Evaluation of macro and micronutrient availability to the upland rice cropped on a calcareous soil of Irecê region, Bahia. The capacity of a calcareous Vertisol to supply nutrients for the growth of rice plants was studied in a pot experiment. The method of "all nutrients except one" was adopted in this study. Treatments with complete fertilization and no fertilization (control) were used along with individual treatments lacking P, S, B, Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn. The tissues from plants from the complete fertilization and control treatments were analysed for N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, E3, Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn. The plants from the other treatment were analysed for the omitted element except in the treatments where P, Zn, Fe and Mn omitted, where the tissues were analysed for al these 4 elements. The results of dry matter production showed that all of the elements studied were at limiting levels in the soil. The dry matter production of the rice- was in the following decreasing order of treatments: ali nutrients, -Cu, -Fe. -B, -Mn, -S, control. -p and -Zn. The .p and -Zn treatments reduced the rice growth to approximately 10 % of the complete fertilization treatment. The analyses of the levels of nutrients in the plant tissues, together with the dry matter data. showed that there was a strong antagonism between Fe and Mn and between p and Zn. Aiso, these data suggested that the antagonics p and Mn acted at the physiological level inhibiting Fe and Zn metabolism. |

Distribution and host data of Lonchaeidae species (Diptera: Tephritoidea) in the state of Amapá, Brazil, are presented. Adults of 10 species in the genera Neosilba, Dasiops, and Lonchaeawere reared from 23 plant species in 18 families. Neosilba lauraStrikis and Neosilba parapeltaeStrikis are reported for the first time in the Amazon, and Dasiops inedulisSteyskal and Neosilba pereziRomero & Ruppel are reported for the first time in Amapá State. Additionally, 24 new host associations are documented. |
