Three groups of 8 cows with anoestrus were used. Group I animals were injected i.m. in the neck with 5 ml Receptal (2.210 mg GnRH analogue); group II were given 2.5 ml Receptal injected into the vulval submucosal region; the remaining group were untreated. Cholesterol levels in group I were 256.88 +or- 19.61, 159.82 +or- 10.76, 120.16 +or- 8.43, 106.31 +or- 6.81 mg % before treatment and on days 1, 10 and 17 of treatment respectively. |
