Abstract: The hydrometra is one of the most important causes of subfertility or infertility in dairy goats. The pseudo-pregnant goats are normally recognized only after five months of expected gestation because partum does not occur. On the other hand, ultrasonography (US) can easily diagnose hydrometra both sooner or latter. Sometimes hydrometra affected goats also show concomitant follicular cysts, which will only be seen after first cloprostenol administration and uterine drainage. This study evaluated uterine drainage and fertility in hydrometra affected goats after use of dcloprostenol treatment associated or not to GnRH followed by estrous induction. The study was performed during the non-breeding season of 2015 in Minas Gerais, Brazil. A total of 10 from 18 Saanen goats (55.5%) was diagnosed with hydrometra, aged 18 to 102 month-old and showing body condition score (BCS) from 2.75 to 4.25 (scale 1 to 5). These goats received three doses of 37.5 µg d-cloprostenol (Prolise®, Tecnopec LTDA, São Paulo, Brazil) laterovulvarly 10 days apart (D0, D10 and D20). At D5, goats were randomly assigned into two groups to receive 1 mL (25 µg) i.m. GnRH (Gestran Plus®, Tecnopec LTDA, São Paulo, Brazil) or 1 mL 0.9% saline i.m., respectively. At D25, goats received 60 mg MAP sponges for six days (Progespon ®, Shering-Plough Animal Health, São Paulo, Brazil) plus 37.5 µg d-cloprostenol laterovulvar and 200 IU eCG (Novormon 5000 ®, Shering-Plough Animal health, São Paulo, Brazil) i.m., 24 hours before sponge removal. Transrectal US (Mindray® 330DP, Shenzhen, China) was performed 60 days after estrus induction to check pregnancy. Data are presented in a descriptive form. All goats displayed estrus after estrus induction. US at 60 days after breeding revealed 50% of pregnancy rate (5/10), being 80% to GnRH (4/5) and 20% to Control (2/5) treated goats. In goats that were not pregnant, it was noted one with fetal loss (Control) and one that showed hydrometra again (GnRH). The remaining goats showed complete uterine drainage (Grade 0 uterus). The use of three doses of d-cloprostenol 10 days apart followed by estrus induction was efficient for draining the contents of the uterus resulting in a relative good pregnancy rate. A pseudogestação costuma ser notada em torno de cinco meses após o acasalamento devido a não ocorrência do parto. Com a utilização da ultrassonografia (US) a hidrometra pode ser facilmente diagnosticada tanto de forma precoce quanto tardia. Em alguns casos as cabras afetadas podem apresentar cistos ovarianos concomitantes que só serão notados após a primeira administração de cloprostenol e drenagem do conteúdo uterino. Este estudo teve como objetivos avaliar o esvaziamento do útero e a fertilidade em cabras com hidrometra, após o tratamento com d-cloprostenol associado ou não ao GnRH, seguido de indução de estro. O estudo ocorreu em 2015 na estação de anestro em Minas Gerais, Brasil. Foram diagnosticadas com hidrometra 10 de 18 cabras da raça Saanen (55,6%), com idades entre 18 e 102 meses, e escore de condição corporal (ECC) entre 2,75 e 4,25 (escala 1-5). As cabras receberam três aplicações de 37,5 ?g de d-cloprostenol (Prolise®, Tecnopec LTDA, São Paulo, Brasil) laterovulvar com intervalos de 10 dias (D0, D10 e D20). No D5 as cabras foram separadas aleatoriamente em dois grupos e receberam 1 mL (25 ?g) i.m. de GnRH (Gonadorelina, Gestran Plus®, Tecnopec LTDA, São Paulo, Brasil) e 1 mL de soro fisiológico 0,9%, respectivamente. No D25, as cabras foram submetidas à indução de estro por meio de aplicação de esponjas intravaginais por seis dias, contendo 60mg de MAP (Progespon®, Shering-Plough Saúde Animal, São Paulo, Brasil), associadas à administração de 37,5 ?g de d-cloprostenol laterovulvar e 200 UI de eCG (Novormon 5000®, Shering-Plough Saúde Animal, São Paulo, Brasil) i.m., 24 horas antes da retirada da esponja. A US transretal (Mindray® DP330-Vet, Shenzhen, China) para verificação de gestação foi feita 60 dias após o acasalamento. Os dados estão apresentados de forma descritiva. Todas as cabras apresentaram estro após a indução de estro. Com o uso da US verificou-se uma taxa de recuperação em 50% (5/10) das fêmeas, sendo 80% do grupo GnRH (4/5) e 20% do grupo Controle (1/5). Nas cabras que não estavam gestantes, uma teve perda fetal (grupo Controle) e outra apresentou novamente hidrometra (grupo GnRH). As fêmeas restantes tiveram uma completa drenagem uterina (Grau 0). A utilização de três aplicações de d-cloprostenol com intervalo de 10 dias, seguido de indução de estro foram eficientes para o esvaziamento do útero resultando em uma taxa de gestação relativamente boa. O estudo ocorreu em 2015 na estação de anestro em Minas Gerais, Brasil. Foram diagnosticadas com hidrometra 10 de 18 cabras da raça Saanen (55,6%), com idades entre 18 e 102 meses, e escore de condição corporal (ECC) entre 2,75 e 4,25 (escala 1-5). As cabras receberam três aplicações de 37,5 ?g de d-cloprostenol (Prolise®, Tecnopec LTDA, São Paulo, Brasil) laterovulvar com intervalos de 10 dias (D0, D10 e D20). No D5 as cabras foram separadas aleatoriamente em dois grupos e receberam 1 mL (25 ?g) i.m. de GnRH (Gonadorelina, Gestran Plus®, Tecnopec LTDA, São Paulo, Brasil) e 1 mL de soro fisiológico 0,9%, respectivamente. No D25, as cabras foram submetidas à indução de estro por meio de aplicação de esponjas intravaginais por seis dias, contendo 60mg de MAP (Progespon®, Shering-Plough Saúde Animal, São Paulo, Brasil), associadas à administração de 37,5 ?g de d-cloprostenol laterovulvar e 200 UI de eCG (Novormon 5000®, Shering-Plough Saúde Animal, São Paulo, Brasil) i.m., 24 horas antes da retirada da esponja. A US transretal (Mindray® DP330-Vet, Shenzhen, China) para verificação de gestação foi feita 60 dias após o acasalamento. Os dados estão apresentados de forma descritiva. Todas as cabras apresentaram estro após a indução de estro. Com o uso da US verificou-se uma taxa de recuperação em 50% (5/10) das fêmeas, sendo 80% do grupo GnRH (4/5) e 20% do grupo Controle (1/5). Nas cabras que não estavam gestantes, uma teve perda fetal (grupo Controle) e outra apresentou novamente hidrometra (grupo GnRH). As fêmeas restantes tiveram uma completa drenagem uterina (Grau 0). A utilização de três aplicações de d-cloprostenol com intervalo de 10 dias, seguido de indução de estro foram eficientes para o esvaziamento do útero resultando em uma taxa de gestação relativamente boa.
