The rise in temperature due to global warming may provoke drastic changes to the agricultural production map of Brazil. Areas which are currently the biggest producers of grains may no longer be suitable for plantation well before the end of the centure. Coffee, sugar cane, beans, cassava, maize and soybeans currently represent 86 percent of the total area planted in Brazil. But the pattern of crops could change considerably as a result of climate change. |
