A agroindústria nordestina, bem como outras atividades econômicas, apresenta heterogeneidades marcadas por alto ou baixo nível socioeconômico e de assistência técnica. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a relação entre variáveis técnicas e socioeconômicas da agroindústria nordestina; os dados são do Censo Agropecuário de 2017 quanto a estabelecimentos agropecuários com agroindústria rural. O método utilizado foi o modelo de correlação canônica. Os resultados descritivos confirmaram um baixo nível de assistência técnica e socioeconômica. O método empírico permitiu verificar que o primeiro par canônico foi o responsável pela maior correlação entre suas variáveis. O perfil socioeconômico foi mais influenciado pelas variáveis dependentes – proprietário, receita da agroindústria e outras receitas do estabelecimento –, pelo conjunto de variáveis na primeira função canônica. O perfil técnico foi mais influenciado pelas seguintes variáveis: suplementação alimentar com subprodutos agroindustriais; e orientação técnica do Sistema S de empresas integradoras, de empresas privadas de planejamento e do próprio produtor. Abstract – Northeastern agro-industry, as other economic activities, shows marked heterogeneities, either by high or low socioeconomic and technical assistance levels. The present study aimed to analyze the relationships between technical and socioeconomic variables for the northeastern agroindustry. The data are from the 2017 Brazilian agricultural census for agricultural establishments with rural agroindustry. The method used was the canonical correlation model. The descriptive results confirmed a low level of technical and socioeconomic assistance. The empirical method allowed to verify that the first canonical pair was responsible for the highest correlation between its variables. The socioeconomic profile was the most influenced by the dependent variables – owner, agribusiness revenue, and other income of the establishment –, since they were the most explained ones by the set of variables, in the first canonical function. The technical profile was more influenced by the following variables: food supplementation with agro-industrial by-products; and technical guidance from the S system from integrator companies, from private planning companies, as well as from the producer himself. In the tropical region central of Minas Gerais State, integrated crop-livestock systems are characterized by annual rotation or succession of crops and pastures in a no-till system in which the pasture is used to produce either milk or meat. In this paper the system focus on integration of maize and sorghum in consortium with Urochloa and Megathyrsus maximus, respectively, for silage, followed by pasture were Nellore and 1/2 Nellore: Angus calves remain for one year, and then soybean is cultivated in no-till system. The green and dry biomass production, in t/ha, of grass forage cultivar ?Tanzânia-1? or ?Mombaça? are presented in annually data before and after stocking in rotated management during wet and transition seasons. The calves body weight gains recorded in these years of integrated crop-livestock system are above the average of Brazilian productivity. In average, the annual animal productivity was of 1,281 kg of live weight per hectare. In conclusion, the integrated systems in region provide the opportunity for intensification with sustainability.
