Commercial banana cultivation in the Cerrados depends on the selection of genotypes that are well-adapted to local growth conditions, disease resistant and have high yield potential. The favourable climate and soil in the Cerrados provide a context in which banana can be successfully grown, besides promoting increased commercial demand. |
