A preliminary study was performed to determine the normal scrotal circumference (SC) measurements of ram, the results of which may become useful in the evalution of rams for breeding soundness. Body weights (BW) ans SC measurements were obtained from 717 rams of 9 different breeds. Analysis of the data showed that rams of the larger maturing breeds had larger SC measurements and that there was a significant correlation between SC and BW in all breeds. |
