Six new aphid species were identified in Chile. Four of them belong to Aphididae: Pentatrichopus thomasi (H.R.L.), Lipaphis erysimi (Kaltenbach), Macrosiphoniella sanborni (Gillete) y Rhodobium porosum (Sanderson), and two, to Callaphididae: Myzocallis coryli (Goeze) and Tuberculoides annulatus (Hartig). Data related to synonymy, morphology, plant hosts, world distribution and their capacities as vectors of plant viruses, were reviewed. |
