Resumo: A capacidade do animal se termorregular é fundamental na sua sobrevivência e produção, nesse contexto alternativas que podem facilitar esse processo vem como um fator importante para melhorar seus resultados produtivos. Assim o objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar o efeito da temperatura da água de beber sobre as respostas fisiológicas, freqüência respiratória (FR, mov/min), temperatura retal (TR, ºC), temperatura da epiderme (TE, ºC) e temperatura da superfície do velo (TE, ºC) em ovinos Corriedale sob estresse térmico. Foram utilizados quatro machos e quatro fêmeas que receberam água resfriada a 14,33 ± 1,59ºC e água ambiente a 31,27 ± 1,41ºC. A ingestão da água resfriada afetou positivamente, diminuindo o estresse térmico sob os animais. The aim of this work was to evaluate the effect of temperature of the drink water on physiological responses, respiratory rate (FR, breaths/min), rectal temperature (TR, ºC), skin temperature (TE, ºC) and fleece surface temperature (TV, ºC) in Corriedale sheep under thermal stress. Were utilized four males and four females that had received cooled water, 14.33 ± 1.59ºC and environment water, 31.27 ± 1.41ºC. The ingestion of cooled water affected positively, diminishing stress thermal about the animals.
