Data for this study were taken from the larger experiment described in the previous section. Ewes bred as yearlings to lamb at two years of age were ignored. Ewes bred as lambs to lamb at one year of age were categorized as to whether they did or did not lamb when given that first oppotunity. Subsequent production through four years of age was compared between those ewes which lambed as yearlings and those which did not. Objectives were to determine whether the ability to lamb at one year of age was predictive of subsequent attrition, reproduction, lamb production and wool production. |
