Abstract: Oesophagostomum radiatum and Oesophagostomum columbianum became established in low numbers when 2 calves and 2 sheep respectively were exposed percutaneously to pure cultures of infective larvae of these worms. A further sheep infested in the conjunctival sac became heavily infested but this may have occurred via the lachrimal duct. As far as can be ascertained this is the first time that development of O. columbianum has been demonstrated after percutaneous exposure. |
