Attempts made since 1956 to control or eradicate Brucella melitensis in State Farm flocks of sheep in Turkey by removal of those which react to the agglutination test have not had a great success because many infected animals fail to react. In recent years, the complement fixation (CFT), the Coombs antiglobulin (AGT) as well as other supplemental tests have more promise in the diagnosis of brucellosis both in man. |
