Abstract: The deep body temperature, heart rates (pulse) and respiratory rates (TPR) taken from healthy goats bi-weekly during a two-year period at constant environmental temperatures were analyzed and discussed. The means, standard deviations and ranges for TPR were: 39.8 ± 0.5 °C (39.0 °C?40.8 °C), 83 ± 6 (50?115) beats per minute and 29 ± 5 (15?50) breaths per minute. All three parameters displayed great variability within the same subject and still greater fluctuations from subject to subject on both daily and yearly bases. |
