The investigation was undertaken to study the effect of various rates on the keeping quality of ram and goat semen in cow-milk diluent. In view of the fact that in these species the fertilizing capacity of semen decreases on higher dilution as well as on longer storage (Dauzier, 1956), the dilution rates for the assessment of viability were kept at levels not beyond 1:10 and the duration of storage was fixed up to 30 hours only. |
