Goat semen diluted 1+2 with "Laiciphos" diluent (Cassou) yielded the highest percentage (C.60%) of progressive - motile sperm on thawing after 4 - 6 hours adaption time in balves "Pailletes moyennes". Freezirng was carried out in two stages in horizontal LR - 250 containers. Using "Paillettes fines" with Tris-deep-freeze-diluent and a 5 hour adaptation time both goat and ram semen gave 60 - 70% motility. Freezing in this case was carried out in LR-250 containers with a chimney attachment. The results of insemination were satisfatory in goats but were too low in sheep. |
