The serum concentrations of copper, zinc, and iron on the day of oestrus, during early pregnancy (0-50 days), mid pregnancy (50-100 days), late pregnancy (100-145 days) and in non-pregnancy animals were studied in indigenous goats of Assam. The levels differed significantly among different stages of reproduction. The copper concentration was significantly higher on the day of oestrus than during the other stages of reproduction. |
