Secondary metabolites play an important role in plant resistance to insects. A sreening of ethanolic crude and fractionated extracts of Baccharis genistelloides revealed potential insecticidal activity against Rhyzopertha dominica. Tribolium castaneum, and Sitophillus zeamais in the contact and/or ingestion bioassay. |
