Nematospora coryli was isolated from soybean seeds damaged by stink bugs. This is the first report of the fungus attacking soybeans in Brazil. Pathogenicity was verified by injecting a suspension of the organism into developing seeds in the greenhouse and reisolating. Symptoms on artificialy injected seeds were dark brown lesions. |
