The present work compares the cox proportional hazards and logistic models (cox, 1972; Lawless, 1982) cosidering partition intervals of different width. The data used to illustrate the method are from an experiment in which the interest was to know how the combination of six tops grafted over seven rootstacks influences the lifetime of mango tree. The results obtained for both models were similar and it is shown that there is no interaction between the factors and that top is the important factor. |
