Experiments on the susceptibility of mango bud mite, Eriophyes mangiferae to various commonly used pesticides and plant hormones were conducted under laboratory and field conditions. In laboratory, dinocap at 0,05% was the most effective treatment followed by dicofol at 0.05% and sulfex at 0.2% in the reducing mite population while in field condition sulfex, dicofol and dinocap showed similar results. In the field trial, where pesticides and plant hormones were applied. miraculan at 200 ppm gave best results followed by planofix at 200 ppm in increasing the growth parameters of the plants. |
