The soybean looper (Chrysodeixis includens) threatens soybean crops, driving the use of ChinNPV for biocontrol. This study characterized two isolates, C168 and Tabatinga (Tb), which share >98.9% genomic identity but exhibit 431 SNPs. The C168 isolate demonstrated superior potency (2x lower LC50) at low concentrations, making it preferable for biocontrol. Both isolates are highly UV-sensitive, but formulation with titanium dioxide and kaolin offered partial protection. The results enhance understanding of ChinNPV diversity, supporting its development as a sustainable tool in soybean pest management. |
