The infuence of climate change on Amazonian ecosystems has produced changes in the way of life of several mosquitoes of epidemiological importance. In this context, aspects of the biological and molecular cycle of mosquitoes in the Amazon were studied to develop new vector control strategies that do not cause damage to the associated fauna. In this study, the transcription of lipophorin, vitellogenin genes, and some biological parameters showed signifcant changes as the climate simulation environments became more severe in relation to the current environment. In addition, assays to determine the mortality, cytotoxicity, and genotoxicity of Aedes aegypti exposed to dillapiole derivatives were carried out as a new alternative to control of this mosquito resistant to certain types of insecticides in certain geographic areas. |
