We evaluated different doses of 17 Beta-oestradiol for the feminization of tambaqui by the direct method. This represented the first step towards a large-scale production of monosex batches of tambaqui. Given the importance of food and environmental security, we analysed the circulating oestradiol levels in the fish 2 months after the treatment and the water quality before and after chlorination (post E2 fish treatment). |
