Data are tabulated on 132 and 104 ejaculates collected weekly from 6 Muzaffarnagri males by artificial vagina and electroejaculation resp. over a 1-yr period. In summer, ejaculate volume was significantly higher, and the proportion of abnormal spermatozoa significantly lower, for samples collected by artificial vagina than for those collected by electroejaculation. If may thus be concluded that 20 % of the ejaculates collected through electroejaculation may be discarded and none in case of AV for the artificial insemination purpose on the basis of consistency itself. |
