Relationship of the number of primary and secondary follicles per unit surface area of the skin as well as that of the secondary/primary ratio with the intensity of canary coloration of wool was studied in Rambouillet, Chokla, Malpura and crosses of Chokla, Malpura and Jaisalmeri with Rambouillet sheep. None of the follicular characteristics independent of genetic groups, sex and season had significant effect on the intensity of coloration. |
