1351 blood samples were collected from Magra, Marwari, Malpura, Chokla, Jaisalmeri, Rambouillet, Soviet Merino (SM), SM X Magra, and SM X Malpura sheep at 6 stations. In the first 5 breeds, the frequencey of HbA was 0.303, 0.249, 0.170, 0.310-0.337 and 0.215 resp. In the Rambouillet and SM sheep it was 0.168 and 0.013-0.090, and in the 2 crosses 0.160 and 0.088. Differences between breed types were significant. |
