A field trial using 23 banana genotypes was conducted on the southern coast of Santa Catarina State, Brazil, in a small banana farm, where a subtropical (Cfa) climate prevails: warm in summer and cool in winter. The average annual temperature is 19°C, ranging from 14°C in July to 24°C in February, with an average annual rainfall of 1400mm-1600mm, well distributed throughout the year. |
