Abstract: 1. The habits and agricultural importance of 10 common Uganda grasses are described. Proximate composition was estimated at 3 experimental stations throughout the year. Calculated nutritive value was low for Setaria sphacelata, intermediate for Chloris gayana and high for Cynodon dactylon and Brachiaria decumbens [B. brizantha is in discussion but is not listed in figures]. |
