Six Bikaneri and 6 Mandya ewes were used in the milk-yield estimation trials described. Yields of Bikaneri and Mandya ewes estimated by weighing lambs before and after suckling were 12.95 and 9.89 kg, respectively, and estimated after injection of oxytocin they were 14.09 and 10.69 kg for the first 3 weeks of lactation. |
