Previous experiments (Marston et al., 1938; Marston, Lee e McDonald, 1948) had the malady, Coast Disease, which invariably is fatal to sheep depastured without treatment on the calcareous littoral of South Australia, may be prevented by providing a supplement containig cobalt and copper, and there was ample evidence to indicate that on this terrain, where a dual deficiency of cobalt and copper prevails, appropriate treatment of sheep would reveal the uncomplicated syndrome of either deficiency. |
