O presente estudo foi desenvolvido objetivando avaliar o efeito de embalagens e ambientes na manutencao do poder germinativo de sementes de mangaba (Handornia speciosa Gomes) armazenadas. Foram utilizados tres diferentes tipos de embalagens: saco de papel, saco de plastico transparente e recipiente de vidro com tampa colocados em tres diferentes tipos de ambientes: condicoes ambientais, geladeira (temperatura de 8 a 10oC) e camara fria (5oC). O delineamento experimental utilizado para os testes de germinacao foi o inteiramente casualizado, com 4 repeticoes de 25 sementes. Os testes de germinacao foram realizados em papel filtro nas Placas de Petri, no dia do armazenamento e trinta, noventa ecento e oitenta dias apos. Os processos de lavagem das sementes para aremocao da polpa e secagem a sombra por 36 horas nao afetou a qualidade inicial da semente. O armazenamento de sementes por 30 dias pode serfeito em embalagens de saco de plastico fechado, vidro tampado tanto em condicoes ambientais como nos de geladeira e camara fria, com manutencao da germinacao acima de 84%. A germinacao das sementes de mangaba foi mantida elevada (82%) por 90 dias em embalagem plastica fechada emcondicoes ambientais (mais ou menos 28oC). |

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of different irrigation levels on flowering, fruit set, carbohydrate and protein content and gas exchange, of apple varietiesin the Brazilian semiarid region. The experimental design was a randomized block with split plots with five replications and four plot irrigation levels (60, 80, 100, and 120% of the reference evapotranspiration (ETo)) and the subplots with two cultivars (Juliet and Princess). As a result, it was found that the number of flowers (NFL), fruits (NFR), shoot percentage (SP) and fruit set (FS) were higher in cv. Juliet. The number of buds (NB) and the fertility index (FI) were higher in cv. Princess. With regard to metabolites, reducing sugar content (RS) had no significant effect among cultivars. The non-reducing sugar content (NRS), total soluble sugar (TSS) and total soluble proteins (TSP) were higher in cv. Princess. As for irrigation depths, TSP, sprouting, flowering and fruit set increased along with the amount of water applied, while the RS, NRS and TSS contents had the opposite behavior. |
