The author also presents the biology of the weevil. its economic importance in the USA and alI sort of problems American cotton growers are dealing with since the Introdution o f t h e "boll weevil" into the USA in 1892. The geographic distribution of the "boll weevil" in the world is presented in a figure along with a suggested route to Brazil.
