Reflecting this diversity, research on legume biology spans multiple disciplines and is in constant progress. Novel research on Leguminosae has been constantly disseminated through the Advances in Legume Systematics (ALS) series. The early volumes focused on classification but were soon followed by collections on phylogeny, morphology, paleontology, informatics, biogeography, ecology, physiology, and economic uses. Most contributions to the ALS series have been associated with the International Legume Conferences (ILC), which, since 1978, have brought together leguminologists to share discoveries, foster collaborations, and advance systematic research. |
