Diagnosis of micoplasmose (Mycoplasma gallisepticum and M. synoviae) through PCR and HI, in chickens negative under Elisa and Sar tests. |

Primary breeding fertile eggs in a total of 30.600 imported from USA, by a one brazilian premise, were positive to Mycoplasma synoviae (MS) and M. gallisepticum (MG) by egg yolk rapid agglutination test. Hatched chicks from those eggs were subjected to serum agglutination reaction (SAR), culturing and PCR (polymerase chain reaction) confirmation in air sacs an tracheal swabs from some necropsied birds by a randon selection procedure. As results, the chicks showed, under SAR suspicions reations to MG, and MS, but were positive to MG under hemagglutination inhibition (HI) and PCR. At 14 weeks of age, 29% (8/28) of the random necropsied birds had thacheits, and this flock ended positive to MG by HI and PCR, but negative under SAR and ELISA, this flock ended culled and slaughtered.
