This bulletin is the seventh annual report of the Virginia corn performance tests and the fifth annual report of the Virginia small grain performance tests. Tests on soybeans, peanuts, and tobacco are included for the first time this year. The tests, made at several locations in the principal agricultural regions of the State, give experimental evidence on crop performance. Recommendations are based on this evidence and on results of previous tests reported by the Virginia AgriculturalExperiment Station since 1943. There is no suggestion made or implied that varieties or strains which have not been included in these previous tests will not do well in Virginia. |
