The studies showed that the isolates of Macrophomina phaseolina from mskmelon and watermelon were fast growing and pathologically similar toeach other. The bottlegourd isolate of the pathogen was slow growing, but pathologically it was nearer to the isolates of muskmelon and watermelon. However, the bittergourd isolate of M.phaseolina was completely distinct from other isolates regarding their morphological and pathological characters. |
