The heritabilities of days to flower, days to maturity, plant and first pod height, lodging, seed quality, hundred seed weight and grain yield were studied on the F9 soybean lines grown at theree localities in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, during 1984/85. The lines, from the cross 'Parana' x 'UFV-1' were deriveded from F2 plants by Early Generation Testing. The heritabilities were estimated from variance analysis. Considering all results, the heritabilities ranged from 22.22 to 99.31 percent, and the results of the three localities were different. In general, days to flower, days to maturity, plant height and seed quality showed the largest heritability estimates. |
