Neste trabalho objetivou-se avaliar o uso do efeito macho na indução e sincronização do estro em 547 cabras leiteiras Saanen durante sete anos consecutivos, criadas em Pacatuba-CE. Os resultados mostram uma evolução no emprego deste método com 72,21%, 72,91%,74,02%, 77,46%, 83,42%, 87,36%, 86,66% de parições nos sete anos consecutivos, mostrando ser um método eficiente e de baixo para a indução e sincronização do estro em cabras leiteiras. Abstract: This work aimed to evaluate the use of male effect for seven consecutives years on the induction and synchronization of estrus in Five hundred and forty-seven Saanen goats raised in the Pacatuba-CE. The results shows an evolution of the use of male effect with 72,21%, 72,91%,74,02%, 77,46%, 83,42%, 87,36%, 86,66% of kidding rates during the seven successive years. The efficiency and the low cost presented by the male effect show its viability for the induction and synchronization of estrus in milk goats. |

Twelve vineyards of cv 'Centennial Seedless' (v. vinifera L.) were chosen for leaf (Iamina + petiole), lamina and petiole mineral analysis, over a two year period, in lales, São Paulo State, Brazil. Twenty vine canes from each vineyard were sampled for bud fertility evaluation using a stereomicroscope. The relationship between bud fertility or bud necrosis and mineral contents were investigated. The correlations determined were weak when other factors were involved in bud fertility, such as temperature, light, shoot vigor and water deficiency. Nitrogen and potassium contents showed an inverse relationship with the percentage of bud necrosis. Iron and boron contents presented a quadratic relationship between the percentage of fertile buds and the percentage of bud necrosis. The possible involvement of these elements in root growth and, therefore, in cytokinin biosynthesis, could explain their influence on floral stimulus.
