The present paper involve the culture of shrimp (Penaeus brasiliensis and Penaeus sp) in monoculture sistem and in association with mullets (Mugil curema and Mugil brasiliensis). The final shrimp survival ranged from 29,1% to 61,2% while both mullets presente 100% survival. The shrimp individual growth mean rate ranged from 0,11 to 0,15g/day, while for the mullets, the growth was 1,04g and 1,08g/day to M.curema, 3.89g and 5.59g/day to M. brasiliensis. The mean biomass growth for kind of culture was 1,786,4g/ha/day for the shrimp nomocultures, 1,714,4g/ha/day for the associations shrimp/M. curema and 3,582.9g/ha/day for the policulture shrimp/ M.brasilensis. The total production ranged from 730.0Kg to 1,746,6Kg/ha/year, being that the mean production was 738.7 Kg/ha/year for shrimps monocultures, 898,2Kg/ha/year for shrimp/M. curema and 1,594,8Kg/ha/year for shrimp/M. brasilensis. The participation of others species in the total production ranged from 0,8% to 11.1%. The raising period was 90 days. During this time, none food was given to the cultured species, which grew up only with available natural resources. |
